Wysing Arts Cambridge Seja Marginal Seja Heròi

During our £1.7 million capital re-building programme at our Bourn site Wysing took its artistic programme - Seja Marginal, Seja Heròi * (Be Marginal, Be a Hero) Parts 1-5 - to an off-site space close to Cambridge City Centre.

Seja Marginal, Seja Heròi * took its title from a work by Helio Oiticica. A series of five international exhibitions by collectives: Danger Museum (Norway and Japan); i-cabin (London); La Culpable (Lima); Platoniq (Barcelona); Mess Hall (Chicago) was curated by Wysing's Curatorial Fellow, Sebastian Ramirez.

Seja Marginal, Seja Heròi presented 28 different events across six months, from film screenings, to artists talks, children and family workshops, launch nights, free knowledge exchanges and video presentations.

The programme was funded by Arts Council England East with additional support from Hill Residential and Hill Partnerships, the Co-op and The District.
