In Flux: 24th-27th May 2010
With In Flux, our fourth artistic retreat, chance and improbability collide in the spirit of Fluxus random actions. Artists and curators staging live events, chance encounters or pushing creativity beyond the rational, were invited to apply for the four day retreat where the international history and scope of Fluxus was discussed and reenacted through its continued legacy of experimentalism in the making and presenting of contemporary art.
Participants: Cedric Christie, Alexandra Drysdale, Katrina Schwarz, Alexandra Zierle and Paul Carter, Olga Jurgenson, Simon Davenport, Anne-Mie Melis, Idit Nathan, Christina Green.
The retreat was curated by MA lecturer Kit Hammonds, Escalator Fellow Gareth Bell-Jones and students Antonia Blocker and Barbara Rodriguez-Munoz.
