I work across many disciplines, often starting with an archetypal image, object or film, to explore ideas bound up with memory and cultural recognition. I am interested in creating something sincere and emotionally resonant – even though the artwork might be largely based on the second-hand experience of cultural phenomena. The works involve layering of alternate realities, made up from ‘the imagined’ (the hand made), ‘the real’, and ‘the historical’ and over the last two years photography both large format 5x4 and 35mm stereo photography, has seemed an ideal vehicle for these ideas.

I am currently working on a project called  “A Fall into Grace” a theatrical love story project involving a theatre, a theatrical set, stereo photography and an invented narrative about first love as well as love stories collected from members of the public.
