I am interested in the complexities of the human condition and the tenuous relationships that take place between myself and other people: how we interact with each other on a daily basis and our different levels of understanding (or lack of it) in social and private situations.

In the studio, extensions of my own personality are projected into the work during an intensive and rigorous making and thinking process. There is often a tense struggle involved in arriving at something which contains an essence of what I want to communicate openly and honestly.
