Wysing Arts Centre – Volunteer opportunities
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to join our team during our exciting CAMP for IMPROBABLE THINKING programme of events and Artists Residencies.
Opportunities exist in the following areas:
EVENT ASSISTANTS Assistants will work alongside staff to provide visitors with the opportunity to view and explore new ways of thinking in contemporary visual art, in a supportive environment.
ART INSTALLATION ASSISTANTS Assistants will work alongside staff supporting the planning and installation of new artworks, events and projects.
Working Hours: Flexible - Minimum 4 hour sessions.

- Induction training, training in health and safety, evacuation and customer care.
- ‘on the job’ training on different volunteer duties.
- Regular meetings with the Operations Director or Technical Manager as appropriate.
We expect all volunteers to:
- Ensure that at all times we provide excellent customer service and health and safety.
- Uphold the arts centre’s policies and procedures including health and safety policy, child protection policy and other customer care measures at all times.
- Have a commitment to valuing diversity and equality, respecting customers and colleagues in all relationships and service delivery.
- Be an ambassador for the arts centre.
- Undertake other duties as may be reasonably required.
