We are pleased to announce a series of free one-hour mentoring sessions as part of our W.O.OSE Network, with artists Evan Ifekoya and Mark Aerial Waller, and Wysing Curator, Lotte Juul Petersen.

Evan Ifekoya has taken part in exhibitions, lectured and performed their work worldwide, with a recent major solo exhibition at Gasworks, London where they are a studio holder.

W.O.OSE Mentoring

Mark Aerial Waller has been exhibiting work, writing and curating nationally and internationally for over 20 years. An experienced teacher, he has mentored and advised artists at all stages of their careers. Lotte Juul Petersen has been a curator at Wysing for ten years and has over 15 years of experience working in major institutions in Europe, with a focus on artistic development.

There is no requirement for age, education level or practice. The mentoring sessions are guided by the participating artist in terms of identifying what support is needed. To make best use of time, artists will be asked to bring a specific question to the session. This can cover, for example, critical feedback on work, preparation for a professional portfolio review, help with an artists’ statement, practical advice on surviving as an artist, or support in preparing for an exhibition or new commission.

Dates and times available are as follows:

Lotte Juul Petersen - Friday 12 October
2-3pm, 3-4pm and 4-5pm at Wysing Arts Centre

Mark Aerial Waller - Friday 26 October
2-3pm, 3-4pm and 4-5pm at Somerset House

Evan Ifekoya - Wednesday 21 November
2-3pm, 3pm-4pm, and 4pm-5pm at Gasworks

Travel costs are not covered. Sessions can also be offered via Skype.

Please note these sessions are now full, as is the waiting list.
