Age 14-18? Join in with Wysing’s Creative Youth Council on the second Saturday of every month, 12-4pm.

Creative Youth Council

Designed for and with young people aged 14-18. All sessions are free and take place on the second Saturday of every month, 12-4pm.

We invite young people to develop new creative projects and events, with the chance to roam our fields, use our ceramics and recording studio and work with artists on lots of different projects.

You could create a new podcast or soundscape, make clay sculptures, or develop new events and festivals, at Wysing, for other young people across Cambridgeshire to enjoy.

Places must be booked in advance, click here to book via Eventbrite.

Please note: you will need to bring a packed lunch with you. Drinks and snacks will be provided during the session.

Year 10 Work Experience at Wysing

Year 10 Work Experience

Work experience with Wysing is a great opportunity to get a sense of what it is like to work in a visual arts organisation. You will spend time with staff across our programme and operations teams, helping to support projects and events that happen at Wysing.

No experience in the arts is necessary but it is important that you are interested in visual arts and have a desire and curiosity to learn and get involved.

It is important to note that we are not a gallery or museum, so if this is the sort of work experience you are after, we might not be the right fit for you.

How to Apply

We want the application to be as straightforward as possible. We use a system called submittable to help us do this. In submittable, you can fill out the application form or you can upload your application in an alternative format. This can be a voice note, video or letter to answer the questions.

Applications are open from December to February. All applications are reviewed in March. We will email all applicants in March to let them know if we are able to offer them a place. We do not review applications outside of these dates, so please make sure you apply between December and February.

Wysing is a very small team, this is why work experience places are limited. We receive lots of applications and try to make our decisions as fairly as possible. We consider the answers applicants provide to offer the spaces we have available to those we feel this opportunity has the most benefit and meaning to.
