October Half Term Workshops

Future Visions 
Tuesday 23 October, 10.30 – 12.30 

What might the future look like? Work with recycled materials to create sculptures, and test out green-screen and digital technologies to showcase your vision of how you'd like to see the world in the future. Wysing Studio Artist Jack Cornell works with children and young people to explore diverse approaches to creating art, incorporating environmental issues, sci-fi and digital technologies. 

Alternative Landscapes 
Wednesday 24 October, 10.30 – 12.30 

Create your own imaginative world, starting with an adventure around Wysing’s rural site. Collect photographs and found objects on your journey, and work with artist Charlie Bryan to create a collaborative alien landscape before using collage and mixed media to record evidence of this new world. Circuit Conductors artist Charlie Bryan is a photographer and videographer who documents and explores environments.

Character Building 
Thursday 25 October, 10.30 – 12.30 

Explore the stories and characters in the ‘Warm Worlds and Otherwise’ exhibition. Play with words, stories and identities to imagine your own characters, and work with artist Rhiannon Moxham to create your own printed zine based on your character. Circuit Conductors artist Rhiannon Moxham explores different media including moving image, drawing, making objects and publications.  

ALL WELCOME – BOOKING ESSENTIAL The workshops are suitable for 6-12 yr olds, and cost £8.50 per child per workshop or £21 for 3 workshops. You are welcome to attend one, two or all three workshops.
