Young people working towards their Arts Awards are invited to come and enjoy our current exhibition A Strange Cross between a Butcher’s Shop and a Night Club by artist Jonathan Baldock. The work is a playful, colourful, installation of felt, knitted and ceramic sculpture, operating both as object and costume, corn dolly masks and wall prints all presented around a centrally constructed stage.

Young people will have a chance to creatively review and discuss the exhibition with Wysing staff as well as having a Q and A session about their work to gain insight into the arts industry and arts careers.

Aimed at Bronze/Silver/Gold Arts Award (ages 11 - 24 years), BTEC and Creative Media Diploma courses but suitable for anyone wanting to review exhibitions and meet artists, these free sessions coincide with exhibitions at Wysing Arts Centre.

This session will be supported by Bryony Graham Education Development Manager and Creative Apprentice Lou Greenwell.

Refreshments will be provided - tea, coffee, cake and soft drinks
