Tuesday 21 October, 4.30-6.30pm

Join us for an informal, creative and inspiring evening for teachers. We will offer you a tour of Wysing’s latest exhibition The Influence of Furniture on Love which is located throughout our Grade II Listed farmhouse and an evening of conversation and activities designed to inspire your own creativity along with your teaching practice.

Teacher Retreat Inset Evening

We will also show you around our onsite work spaces and to give you an understanding of how schools, students and Wysing may work together.

The event will led by Bryony Graham, Producer, Children and Young Peoples Programme at Wysing, and Wysing studio based artist Rob Smith

We will make temporary interventions in Wysing Grange farmhouse to explore how simple changes can influence the spaces we live and work in. Using assemblage and montage we will re-imagine the spaces of the  farmhouse and think about new ways to rework rooms and find ways to curate the classroom.

This is also an opportunity to explore ideas about working cross-curricula with Maths, English, Languages, Art, Philosophy and Science and explore how this approach can be taken back into the classroom.

Refreshments will be provided, tea, coffee and cake on arrival and wine as the evening closes. Suitable for teachers of  any age group and subject.

Places are free. To book please visit our Eventbrite page here
