Animate and Activate Creative Practice: Teachers INSET Series

4.30-6.30pm, Tuesday 25 June

Free. Booking essential

Please join us for an informal and inspiring creative evening for teachers.

Teachers are invited to come and enjoy our current exhibition A Strange Cross between a Butcher’s Shop and a Night Club by artist Jonathan Baldock. The work is an installation of felt, knitted and ceramic sculpture, operating both as object and costume, corn dolly masks and wall prints all presented around a centrally constructed stage.

This is an opportunity to explore ideas about handmade objects, art and movement and costumes that can be taken back into the classroom along with information about school visits to Wysing. Participants will also be able to enjoy our outdoor sculptures across our grounds.

Wysing Education Development Manager Bryony Graham will host the evening and Wysing studio artist Elena Cologni from the Rock Fluid project will lead on creative response activities designed to inspire your own creativity along with your teaching practice.

Refreshments will be provided, tea, coffee and cake on arrival and wine the evening closes. Participants will also be able to enjoy our outdoor sculptures across our grounds

Suitable for teachers of any age group and subject.
