Wild Summer School
Times 11 – 4pm daily
For ages 13 – 19

FULLY BOOKED

Get creative, make friends, be wild and have fun over the summer at Wysing Arts Centre. Join the summer school at Wysing to collaborate with professional artists and each other. Over the week you’ll have a chance to create work using nature, sound and performance.

For booking details, please visit our Eventbrite by clicking here.

The week will seek to remove barriers and expectations to explore how we can be free to imagine, taking part in practical activities that link to Wysing’s 2022 theme of “re/wilding”. Explore what it might mean to take time away from the day-to-day, to roam land freely and test out what you might want to leave behind or allow to flourish through engaging and inspiring creative activities.

The week will investigate ideas around the environment, recycling and shaping the world of the future. For example building sculptures in the woodland, creating with clay, playing with field recording and sound editing, and putting together a final online display of collaborative work as part of the Wysing Broadcasts website.

The week will involve opportunities to work in a group and individually.
