2 November — 20 December 2009

A number of talks and events took place during the exhibition Expanded.

Saturday 28 November, 2-4pm
A free, drop-in, family workshop where visitors are invited to transform everyday objects  into art, inspired by artist David Kefford, one of the artists in Expanded. Visitors were asked to bring an object that they wanted to transform – a lamp, coat hangers, plastic cups, old toys, old mobile phones, anything at all, and the workshop leader helped change it into art. Extra materials also provided.

ARTIST'S TALK
Thursday 17 December, 6-8pm
An evening of conversation with artists Julie Brenot, Lucy Conochie, David Kefford and Lee Marshall, chaired by Wysing’s Artists and Programmes Curator Lotte Juul Petersen. The artists talked about their practices and how they approached making new work for Expanded.

FAMILY WORKSHOP
Saturday 5 December, 2-4pm
Visitors explored the hidden corners of Wysing on an ‘expanded trail’. Photos were taken of the discoveries and projected onto walls to make life-size drawings.

END OF SHOW EVENT
Sunday 20 December, 4-6pm
A last chance to see the exhibition Expanded, with mince pies and mulled wine.
