Treignac Projet
7 September – 29 September 2013

Work of recent Wysing artist-in-residence Florian Roithmayr has been developed into an exhibition at the Treignac Projet.
The show features a video commissioned by Wysing Arts Centre that documents the process of vinyl wrapping the working campus’ own Renault Kangoo.

Other pieces include a series of wall mounted concrete works and a printed banner that hangs across an entire wall of the lower gallery space. All the works are newly presented in response to the architecture of Treignac Projet, a peer-initiated organisation directed towards collaborative activity within the arts. The gallery hosted Florian Roithmayr from June to September 2013, supported by The British Council / Arts Council England's Artists' International Development Fund.

Florian Roithmayr's exhibition is presented concurrently with the group exhibition O Chair O Flesh, which also features his works Inhaler (2013), Contact Lens (2013) and Untitled (rock carvings) (2010), alongside works by artists Fabienne Audeoud, Fleur van Dodewaard, Christian Jankowski, Bea McMahon, Kaspar Oppen Samuelsen, Ria Pacquée, Xavier Ribas, John Russell, Allan Sekula, Morten Torgersrud, Francis Upritchard, and Anne de Vries.

Florian Roithmayr along with Anna Barham, David Osbaldeston and Charlotte Prodger was part of Wysing Arts Centre’s spring artist-in-residence programme Convention T. Convention T refers to logician, mathematician and philosopher Alfred Tarski (1901-1983) who applied logic to sentence structure in order to make the truth visible through language.
