Young Peoples' Study Day
19 February,10:30am - 4pm
Free

Come and explore The Practice of Theories exhibition in this one day artist led workshop, Mapping and Connecting.

Young People's Study Day 19 February

In this workshop we’ll be unlocking Wysing’s current gallery exhibition using printmaking, sculpture, collage and writing  - exploring words, ideas, patterns, shapes, symbols, and sounds. In the afternoon we’ll collect together all our ideas and creations to create a group publication.

Are you currently studying for your CGSEs or A Levels?  Work taken away from the day can be used in sketchbooks and we'll be looking at contemporary art works and artists that can be used as source & supporting material for your coursework.

The workshop is led by artist Isabella Martin, and our young peoples group Circuit Cambridge and is for young people ages 13-25. The session is free but booking is essential. Please bring a packed lunch.

To book places please go to our Eventbrite page, BOOK HERE

This workshop is part of a week-long series of activity for families and young people reflecting our theme across 2016, Wysing Poly, which explores the practical application of ideas. More information can be found here.

The Practice of Theories is a group exhibition that brings together artists who seek to make visible the intangible and who share knowledge or complex theories through their work and working methods. It includes sculpture, painting, sound and installation and we will spend time in the exhibition as part of this activity.
